Our tailor-made contracts for building societies bring easier insect traceability and peace of mind to every building.

It is possible to reduce the attractiveness of a home to different insects, but it is good to remember that it is not always the overall tidiness or cleanliness alone that determines where insects will find their way into a home. There is a lot you can do yourself to ensure peace of mind in your property. Our tailor-made contracts for building societies bring easier insect traceability and peace of mind to every building.

Bugs are predictable, but still surprise many

We have compiled a handy list to help you identify both crawling and flying insects. The reasons why a particular insect finds its way into a house or home are as varied as the species. By identifying favourable conditions that invite insects, the occupant can influence the likelihood of insect infestation, such as the necessary drying of bathrooms and proper disposal of food and waste. However, it should be noted that insects can sneak into your home as a result of travelling, buying second-hand clothes or furniture, or shopping at the grocery store, for example.

Insects seen in an individual apartment, for example in a block of flats or a terraced house, are not yet a major problem, but it is generally good practice to report them to the landlord. When it is time to tackle a disaster, it is unfortunate if all parties are not aware of their responsibilities. Under the Housing Company Act, the building society is responsible for maintaining the structures, insulation and basic systems, leaving the tenant to monitor the inside of their own apartment and take any necessary preventive measures.

The problem does not diminish as it drags on

For example, wall tubes brought back from holiday can easily be transferred to neighbouring flats in a housing association, mainly through pipes, ventilation or cable ducts. So insect sightings should be taken seriously.

When home inspections run out, or when insect sightings become more frequent in different areas of the property, it is worth involving a professional to help solve the problem.

We know, and fight, the different pests

Our approach goes from the initial survey and the development of an individual control plan for the site to the actual control treatment. All our experts are aware of the risks to surfaces, pets and people in the home, and we always communicate our policy and precautions for potential poisonings clearly.

Our control methods are comprehensive and not all rely on the use of biocidal pesticides. Individually tailored to your needs, we will find the right solution for you.
